The purpose of this guideline is to provide guidance to all Registered Public Health Nurses/Registered Midwives (RPHNs/RMs) in the Public Health Nursing Service on the use of the child and family health needs assessment framework.
This guideline is the updated national HSE guideline governing the use of the Child and Family Health Needs Assessment Framework by Registered Public Health Nurses (RPHNs) and Registered Midwives (RMs) within the Public Health Nursing Service. It replaces the 2021 version and aims to standardise assessment, documentation, care planning, and intervention processes.
