To provide a standardised approach for the provision of the National Newborn Bloodspot Screening Programme (NNBSP) in all relevant community and hospital settings.
This HSE national procedure, and its appendices, apply to all staff working directly and indirectly in the provision of the National Newborn Bloodspot Screening Programme (NNBSP) in all relevant hospitals and community settings. Users of this procedure include all staff working directly and indirectly in the provision of the NNBSP. The NNBSP applies to all infants in the Republic of Ireland as outlined in the procedure.
