Test the new Competency Framework

You are kindly invited to take part in research to help test and provide feedback on the first draft of the co-designed Quality and Patient Safety Navigator - a competency framework for all staff and patient partners.

What is the competency framework?

Over the past 18 months, researchers from UCD and staff in the HSE Quality and Patient Safety Directorate have been working with 80 members of our co-design panel (staff and patient partners) to select and prioritise competencies to support staff and patient partners to engage in promoting quality and safety in healthcare settings. We are now asking for your help to give us feedback.

If you decide to take part, we will share the draft of the competency framework with you, give you time to review and work with it in your role, and then will invite you to take part in a focus group or an individual interview with a member of the research team (whichever you prefer) at a time and date that suits you.

We intend to commence the process in June and July 2024 and anticipate it would take approximately 45 minutes to provide the feedback to us.

For more information about this project please see the flyer.
