The HSE Corporate Safety Statement (CSS) has been prepared to ensure compliance with the HSE legal obligations under Section 20 of the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act, 2005.

This CSS formally sets out the high-level responsibilities, structures and resource requirements for maintaining a safe and healthy environment for employees, service users, visitors and all who come in contact with our Services and/or may be affected by our activities.

In keeping with the delegated responsibilities as set out in Section 2, Managers at all levels of the organisation are responsible and accountable for visible and proactive leadership in implementing this policy through the development of Ancillary Safety Statements and implementation of occupational safety and health policies.
