The 2023 Risk Management Policy sets out the policy and procedures by which the HSE manages risk. The approach is aligned to ISO 31000:2018 Risk Management Guidelines and replaces the HSE Integrated Risk Management Policy 2017.

It enables better management of uncertainty and associated risks and opportunities. In particular, it guides the organisation to address risks comprehensively and coherently, instead of trying to manage them individually.
