The aim of this document is to support Researchers, Research Ethics Committees and host sites to determine when a research activity falls within the scope of the RGMS Framework.

HSE National Guideline for determining activities within the scope of the HSE National Framework for the Governance, Management and Support of Research.

Research in scope of the HSE Framework for the Governance, Management and Support of Research1 (RGMS Framework) needs to be approved by a HSE, S38/39 or National Research Ethics Committee and requires institutional oversight by the sites hosting the research, which is provided by the RGMS function.
