The purpose of this HSE national policy is to describe the commitment the HSE provides to all sick/injured employees

To support employees to remain at work or enable an early safe return following illness/injury. Support other HSE PPPGs such as the Managing Attendance Policy and Long-Term Absence Benefit Scheme Guidelines. Provide guidelines to managers, employees, Occupational Health, rehabilitation professionals and HR on conducting workplace rehabilitation to assist employees affected by both work and non-work related injuries/illnesses recover and perform duties for which they are employed.
