It is the policy of the HSE to share best practice when posting on social media and digital channels whether in a professional or personal capacity. The document also serves as a framework for responsible use of recording devices and the use of social media in HSE settings.
The purpose of this policy is to raise awareness for HSE staff to protect patient confidentiality, uphold professional standards, and ensure that personal freedoms are respected while lessening any risks associated with social media use in the workplace.
The policy applies to the use of recording devices, and social media for professional purposes, as well as personal use that may affect our organisation in any way.
This document does not serve to replace the role of the HSELive team, but to advise individual staff members on how social media can be used to support or enhance their work.
