The International Cancer Screening Network (ICSN), in partnership with the HSE National Screening Service, is pleased to announce that the call for abstracts is now open for the 2027 International Cancer Screening Network Conference (ICSN 2027).
ICSN 2027 will showcase the latest research, innovation, policy development, programme delivery and real-world learning from across the global screening community.
Transforming screening together
Taking place from 16 to 18 June 2027 at Trinity Business School, Dublin, Ireland, the theme for ICSN 2027 is: Transforming screening together: Balancing innovation, access and trust.
As screening programmes continue to evolve, the conference will explore how innovation can improve outcomes while ensuring services remain equitable, accessible and trusted by the populations they serve.
Conference themes
ICSN 2027 provides an opportunity to share research, innovations, evaluations, quality improvement initiatives and implementation learning with an international audience committed to advancing cancer screening.
Researchers, practitioners, policymakers and professionals working across cancer screening are invited to submit abstracts aligned with one of the conference themes:
- from population-based to personalised approaches in screening
- technology as core infrastructure
- equity, access and inclusion
- communication, trust and informed choice
- global and health system perspectives
- learning and data-driven health systems
- from improvement to transformation
- partnership, participation and co-design
- monitoring and evaluation.
How to submit your abstract
Abstract submission guidelines are available to view on the conference website. This includes information on eligibility, abstract formatting, presentation categories and the review process.
- Authors must use the official ICSN 2027 abstract template.
- Authors must submit completed abstracts through the online submission portal.

Those interested in presenting at ICSN 2027 should note the following dates:
- Call for abstracts opens: 1 September 2026
- Abstract submission deadline: 6 January 2027
- Notification of review outcome: 19 March 2027
- Deadline for accepted authors to register: 12 April 2027
- Programme available online: 3 May 2027
