Diabetic RetinaScreen clinical conference 2024: Innovating retina screening and treatment for the future

We’re pleased to announce details of our 2024 Diabetic RetinaScreen Conference which takes place on Friday 8 November at the Radisson Blu Royal Hotel, Golden Lane, Dublin 8, D08 VRR7.

Conference theme

The conference is dedicated to fostering partnerships to further develop innovation through technology with all our screening partners.

Who is the conference for?

Ophthalmologists, diabetologists, public health physicians, academics, epidemiologists, optometrists, graders, screeners and nurses (ophthalmic and diabetic).

Conference programme

The conference programme features international and national speakers presenting on global, national and regional advances in diabetic retinal screening and treatment.

Registration

Registration is now open. The conference is free to attend, and a light lunch will be provided on the day.

Call for abstracts

We’re providing a platform for you to highlight your work and new initiatives to your colleagues in a poster presentation. Share your knowledge and expertise by submitting an abstract to participate. The topics to be covered can include epidemiology, screening, artificial intelligence, quality improvement, genomics, therapies, precision medicine in DR care and surgical advances.

When submitting your abstract, include:

  • title of the poster
  • your chosen theme
  • name of presenter(s)
  • your organisation/service
  • your name, telephone number and email address

Briefly outline your project (300 words maximum) using the following headings:

  • background
  • aims/objectives: describe the specific purpose of the project
  • methods: identify the key steps carried out, the tools used, and the timeframe
  • outcome/results: the impact/benefit/service enhancement of the initiative
  • conclusion: outline any future plans or next steps

Email your abstract to DRSConference@screeningservice.ie on or before Friday 18 October 2024. We will let you know if your abstract has been accepted and we will provide further information at that time.

The Radisson Blu Royal Hotel is easily accessible by public transport and offers accommodation for conference delegates.
