Using data - in the right way - provides an understanding of variation in performance over time and into the lived experiences of those using and working in health services.
Our Data for Decision Making resources are designed to support boards, committees and leadership teams to develop quality agenda items to support them in their role of overseeing quality and safety and its improvement.
Data for Decision Making Toolkit
Our Data for Decision Making Toolkit contains tools, resources and guidance to assist the local development of a quality agenda item, including a Quality Profile and People’s Experience of Quality, for boards, committees and leadership teams.
HSE Quality Profile
The HSE Quality Profile provides statistical insights using SPC (statistical process control). It is used to support the understanding of variation in performance over time by presenting a selection of quality and patient safety indicators that have been identified as critical.
People’s Experience of Quality Videos
The experience of those who use and work in our health service can be shared at board, committee and leadership meetings in different ways. Videos have been developed to share patient and service user experiences of the health service with the HSE Safety and Quality Committee: Watch here
