National Sepsis Summit

The National Clinical Programme for Sepsis holds a national summit, where healthcare professionals and patients share information on Sepsis, Severe Sepsis and Septic Shock.

The 8th National Sepsis Summit took place on Tuesday, 3 September 2024, at the Printworks Event and Exhibition Centre in Dublin Castle.

The summit brought together international and national experts to discuss topics related to the theme.

The aim of the summit

The aim of this year's sepsis summit was to:

  • raise awareness for sepsis in all settings
  • provide an opportunity to hear about the latest prevention and treatment advancements for sepsis
  • lead to better management and better patient outcomes for those who develop sepsis.
