We’ve been shortlisted in five categories for the 2024 Irish Healthcare Awards:
- Excellence in healthcare management: we’re embedding a culture of performance improvement, excellence, and safety by developing a Quality Assurance framework for our four screening programmes.
- Patient service of the year: we’ve enhanced the provision of eye screening to protect the sight of women with diabetes who become pregnant.
- Patient organisation project of the year: our work with our Patient and Public Partnership puts the patient voice at the centre of what we do.
- Public Health initiative of the year: we’ve established a strategic partnership with a range of stakeholders to achieve cervical cancer elimination in Ireland.
- Research project paper of the year: we’ve published research on the first Irish data showing the effect of HPV vaccination on cervical cancer.
Our Chief Executive, Fiona Murphy said “It’s fantastic to see so much of our excellent work being recognised. The projects shortlisted support our strategic goals of engagement and partnership, operational excellence, service development and quality assurance. It’s a testament to the exceptional work of our staff and partners, and I wish everyone the best of luck on the night.”
The winners will be announced at an event in the Dublin Royal Convention Centre on Wednesday 4 December.
